The group usually meets once a month at St Francis of Assisi Church Hall at the following times:
Third Thursday of the month from 19:30 – 21:00
Your host: Mary King
I am Mary, a 61 year old retired lady, who is now enjoying spending time on all my interests and hobbies as well as going out and about with family and friends. Walking, cycling, tap dancing and swimming keep me busy as well as going out and about in our campervan whenever possible.
I enjoy a wide range of craft activities and am always on the lookout for a new challenge. I am a member of one of the Pimm’s and Needles groups and thoroughly enjoy the range of activities we have engaged in.
In addition, meeting and socialising with new people over our coffee and cake breaks has been lovely. I am really excited about the prospect of leading a new group, from it’s first meeting, meeting the new members and watching friendships and skills develop.
Our Meetings for the next few months
August – We’ll be hosting our very own Murder Mystery with the team from Tall Tales Mysteries! A great way to meet other people and test your sleuthing skills! We also need volunteers to play the parts, so please get in touch if you would like to be involved.
September – We’re super excited to be offering a Fused Glass Workshop with the wonderful Sue from Glassic, this is something that has been requested so many times and we are so pleased to be finally able to offer it. You will be able to collect your work at the October meeting once it has been fired.
October – This will be a food demonstration & tasters from super charismatic collective at The Food Hobbyists. Link below for members to book their space and also for guests to book & pay to come along.
November – Our Door Wreath workshop with Ravensworth Nurseries is one of the most popular sessions of the year, everything is provided, you just need to bring some gloves as the holly can be prickly!
December – Whats better at Christmas than some seasonal crafting! We’ll all be bringing something for a buffet whilst we enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit at our last event of the year!
January – Whether you have not drawn since school or like to sketch, our life drawing session is not only lots of fun (and giggles) but everyone amazes themselves with what they can produce during the session, hosted by Bernadette Koranteng Art Workshops.
