How it all works

  • We are a not for profit organisation (a CIC) and run on tight margins monthly memberships enables us to forward buy materials for the correct number of people and plan effectively. Find our more about us here
  • You can join us as a member by filling in the “Start your Membership” link below, which will ask you for a £15.00 card payment, you will then get details emailed of how to set up your direct debit and become a rolling member. We will then take payment for your first session via the direct debit, so you have always paid for current month and next month. For example if you join on 1st January, and you wish to start at the group in January you will make one card payment then one payment via direct debit.
  • If you’re unable to make one of the dates at your usual group you can transfer to another of our groups during the same month, you can see the fill list of groups and transfer options here its really simple to organise and offers flexibility around other commitments.
  • When you decide to leave simply give us 30 days notice from your last intended session, and we will cancel all future payments as your last session is already paid for. Click here to cancel your membership.
  • We also offer the option of joining for a 6 month block and paying up front, please contact us with the name of the group you’re interested in joining and we can send you some information.
  • You can also join us as a guest to see what you think, or if you want to just come now and again! The “Guest Place” link is below and its £19.50 per session, if this is not available its because the group is full and we don’t have any guest spaces available.
  • Both options include all of the materials you will need for the sessions along with Tea & Coffee.
  • The group is very friendly, you’re welcome to come with friends or on your own! We have flying solo tables for anyone alone where everyone sits together, so you won’t be on your own for very long!
  • You can read more about our groups and our membership by visiting Frequently asked questions or if you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, get in touch!

Meet Your Group Host Lesley

Hi I’m Lesley, I host this group and the one at Aycliffe Village. I found out about Pimm’s and Needles quite a few years ago now and I joined the Aycliffe Village group as a member as soon as it started. I love everything about Pimm’s and Needles and being a host lets me be part of sharing that enjoyment, creativity and inspiration with the group members.

I love any and all crafts and trying new things, so Pimm’s and Needles is brilliant. It’s great to experience all these wonderful activities in such a fun, relaxed and friendly way. The members are all so lovely and positive and supportive of each other.

My perfect day would have to include the beach, it’s just my favourite place to be, whatever the weather: so walking my springer spaniel Blossom, who loves the beach as much as me, open-water swimming in the sea, with a wonderful friend that I met at P&N, or sea-glass and driftwood collecting, for crafting creations with at a later date. All finished off with tea and cake!

An interesting fact about me is that all of my dogs names have began with the letter B. It wasn’t an intentional thing to begin with, but now I just can’t change it! Also I’ve also had a piece of my artwork used as a front cover of a CD. It’s not a best-selling one so no one will have seen it but nevertheless I’m still proud of it.

Alongside my lovely committee I look forward to giving you a warm welcome at the Bishop Auckland Group!
