The group usually meets once a month at Richmond Town Hall at the following times:

  • Third Wednesday of the month from April between 19:00 – 21:00

How it all works

  • We are a not for profit organisation (a CIC) and run on tight margins monthly memberships enables us to forward buy materials for the correct number of people and plan effectively. Find our more about us here
  • You can join us as a member by filling in the “Start your Membership” link below, which will ask you for a £15.00 card payment, you will then get details emailed of how to set up your direct debit and become a rolling member. We will then take payment for your first session via the direct debit, so you have always paid for current month and next month. For example if you join on 1st January, and you wish to start at the group in January you will make one card payment then one payment via direct debit.
  • If you’re unable to make one of the dates at your usual group you can transfer to another of our groups during the same month, you can see the fill list of groups and transfer options here its really simple to organise and offers flexibility around other commitments.
  • When you decide to leave simply give us 30 days notice from your last intended session, and we will cancel all future payments as your last session is already paid for. Click here to cancel your membership.
  • We also offer the option of joining for a 6 month block and paying up front, please contact us with the name of the group you’re interested in joining and we can send you some information.
  • You can also join us as a guest to see what you think, or if you want to just come now and again! The “Guest Place” link is below and its £19.50 per session, if this is not available its because the group is full and we don’t have any guest spaces available.
  • Both options include all of the materials you will need for the sessions along with Tea & Coffee.
  • The group is very friendly, you’re welcome to come with friends or on your own! We have flying solo tables for anyone alone where everyone sits together, so you won’t be on your own for very long!
  • You can read more about our groups and our membership by visiting Frequently asked questions or if you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, get in touch!

Group Host: Sharon Ferguson

Hi I’m Sharon , I host this group and the one at Northallerton. I found out about Pimm’s and Needles about 7 years ago and I joined the Northallerton group as a member with my sister in law as soon as it started before becoming the host soon after. I then started hosting Richmond about a year later. I love everything Pimm’s and Needles can do for women, both mentally and emotionally! Creating new things and finding new hobbies as well as connecting ladies from all backgrounds and ages. I love nature and the outdoors but crafting is a close second and my favourite sessions so far have been felting and zentangle. All the members at my groups have been so very supportive and welcoming of each other and it’s brilliant to see them all get so enthralled in the activities, even if they don’t carry them on as hobbies. My perfect day would start with the Gym, I love to life weights and get my endorphins going! Then I would be with my family. My husband Iain, son Isaac and dog Ponyo would stomp the countryside, explore new places and enjoy what nature has to offer. I’m an avid houseplant collector and now run my own business, Queen of Green which was born off the back of hosting terrarium workshops for Pimm’s and Needles, 3 years ago now. I love helping supply and care for other peoples collections and sharing my passion for them. Alongside my lovely committee I look forward to giving you a warm welcome and slice of cake with a brew at my groups!
