At Pimm’s and Needles, we’re all about bringing women together to laugh, create, unwind, and make genuine connections. As a Community Interest Company, we host lively, friendly get-togethers for women of all ages (16+) across the North East and North Yorkshire — and trust us, no two months are ever the same!

Whether you arrive with friends, family, or fly solo, you’ll be welcomed with open arms. Our groups are a brilliant way to step out of your routine, meet new people in your community, and do something just for you.

We love to mix things up! Each monthly session shines a spotlight on a unique activity — from hands-on arts and crafts to artisan food workshops, wellbeing sessions, dance classes, and even a bit of green-fingered gardening fun. There’s always something new to try, and absolutely no experience is needed.

Our sessions are relaxed, inclusive, and full of good vibes. It’s not about perfection — it’s about getting stuck in, having fun, and enjoying the journey together. Think less pressure, more laughter.

Organisers Charlotte and Donna like to offer their members something a little bit different but sometimes find it’s not possible to offer some activities at the usual monthly meetings due to the size of the group or cost and time involved.

Over the past three years Pimm’s and needles members and guests have been treated to many opportunities to try out new and exciting crafts and activities in a more intimate sized group as extra session.

The ladies have bagged some top artists and designers to host silver ring-making afternoons, singing workshops, sewing and textiles sessions as well as organising more social activities such as cinema trips, party nights out and fun clothes swapping evenings.

Pimm’s and Needles seems to attract like-minded creative people who are interested in learning new skills and meeting new people.
