After a full year of not meeting due to the Covid-19 Pandemic we will be finally opening our doors again in July to welcome you all.
It seems fitting that in June we will be offering our final kit, a hanging basket kit from our friends at Ravensworth Nurseries, as we started with that very same kit this time last year.
Who would have thought then, that after 3 months of lockdown, we would have another 12 months to go – of socialising with our families and then in bubbles, not being able to hug our friends, go to a crowded concert or even out for a nice pub meal.
So we have gone the full circle, during the pandemic we have tried to keep our members spirits up with kits, videos and zoom calls, on our members Facebook group.
We have shared recipes, pet pictures, gardening tips, all of the wonderful crafty things we have been doing, ideas to keep the children entertained and consoled each other when we have been feeling low.
We have made bulb lasagnes, candles and soap, decorated Christmas Door Garlands, learned new skills like paper cutting and how to make BathBombs.
We have cooked Indian Dishes and tried our hand at bending willow – which was no easy feat! Its been fun, it been different, it kind of became the new normal, but we also can’t wait to be doing all of these things in our groups again, with a nice cup of tea and some cake!
