The group meets once a month at St Augustine’s Parish Centre at the following times:
- Third Thursday of the month between 11:00 and 13:00
- Please note for February & March we will be moving temporarily to Willow Road Community Centre as there are building works at St Augustines. This does effect the dates of the meetings.
Hi I’m Noreen, I host the Darlington Daytime Group. I really enjoy meeting everyone and making sure that you have a lovely experience during the sessions. Our Meetings for the next few months
21st February – Mosaic Workshop – Working With Seagulls Reuse we will be offering this creative workshop where you can design your own door number or heart using broken tiles that have been saved from landfill. So if you break any ceramics don’t throw them away bring them along, we know you’ll be inspired from this fab session as we’re already addicted! Please note this will be at our temporary venue of Willow Road Community Centre and its a different day to usual
21st March – Tea Tasting & Blending Workshop – We’re super excited to be having Whole Lot of Rosie join us for a workshop where Miki will be sharing her knowledge about the history and health benefits of teas from around the world, we will be tasting lot of tea and you will have the opportunity to make your own blends of tea to take home, a perfect treat for yourself or a little gift for any tea lover! Please note this will be at our temporary venue of Willow Road Community Centre and its a different day to usual
21st April – Pottery Painting – Pixie Potts will be leading this workshop where we will all be painting a mug, there’s templates and tips for those who want them, and lots of inspiration for those brave enough to paint freehand! Pixie Potts will take them away for firing then return them the following month.
19th May – Terrarium Workshop – The Queen of Green Sharon is going to be hosting this workshop where everyone will be making their very own Terrarium, using moisture loving plants they will create their own little eco system and need very little care (great for anyone not blessed with green fingers!)
16th June – Hanging Basket Workshop – Once again we have the fantastic team from Ravensworth Nurseries coming along to deliver another of their notorious Hanging Basket Workshops. You’ll learn from the experts how to create a basket that will look amazing throughout the summer, and make one in the group. All you need to bring is your gardening gloves!
21st July- Burlesque Workshop – This fun workshop is hosted by the super glamorous EbonySilk and the hilarious Boylesque star Duke De Milo, you’ll learn how to wear a feather boa in style as well as hear about the fascinating history of Burlesque. We’ll finish the night with a performance from the professionals!
